UVC ultraviolet is a kind of light radiation whose wavelength is shorter than that of visible light. The ultraviolet rays in the wavelength range of 100-400 nm are generally divided into four categories: ① UV-A, ② UV-B, ③ UV-C, ④ UV-D, etc. Now let's understand the difference between the four UVC ultraviolet wavelengths:

1. UV-A long wave ultraviolet: the wavelength is 320~400 nm, and the penetration is strong, so the UVA ultraviolet in the sunlight can penetrate the ozone layer and clouds directly to the earth's surface. UVA can reach the dermis of the skin, directly damage the cells, tan your skin, and make your skin aging and wrinkled.

2. UV-B UVB: the wavelength is 280~320 nm, most of which are absorbed by the ozone layer, and only about 2%~10% reach the ground. It can promote the metabolism of minerals and the formation of vitamin D in the body. This is the reason why we often say to supplement vitamin D by properly basking in the sun. But too much sunburn will cause redness, swelling, pain and ecdysis.

3. UV-C short wave ultraviolet: the wavelength is 200~280 nm, which is almost completely absorbed by the ozone layer. The penetration ability is weak, and it cannot penetrate ordinary glass and plastic products. Although the penetration ability is weak, it does great harm to the human body and cannot directly irradiate the human body.

4. UV-D vacuum ultraviolet ray: the wavelength is 100~200nm, and the penetration ability is extremely weak. It can oxidize oxygen in the air into ozone.
