1. Fast speed: microwave drying is extremely fast because of its unique advantages. By selecting microwave equipment to dry wood, the results show that the microwave power is about 60kW. Under the condition of not causing drying defects, from 8mm thick thin wood to 50mm thick square materials, the moisture content of the incoming materials is dried from 35~40% to about 20%, and the drying time is only 10 minutes to 26 minutes. In order to improve the microwave power, the corresponding reasonable process must be adopted.

2. High efficiency: we use the "water extraction rate" index to assess the drying efficiency. "Water lifting rate" refers to the kilogram of dried material lost water in one hour when the microwave energy is 1kwh/kwh, and the unit is kg/kwh. High extraction rate indicates high equipment efficiency. The company has carried out inspection and test on 4 kinds of finished timber varieties under basically the same conditions. The results showed that the wood extraction rate of various tree species was about 1kg/kwh or slightly higher. The pumping rate of the same wood in different thickness and specifications is about 1kg/kwh.

3. Good quality: the wood is deformed and cracked during the conventional drying process, which is caused by the uneven shrinkage of the fiber after the wood is dehydrated. Natural drying, on the one hand, because the evaporation rate of wood surface is far greater than the diffusion of internal water, results in the state of dry surface and wet inside; The drying of the surface layer makes the fiber shrink, which produces stress between the surface and the interior. First of all, the fiber pores at both ends of the wood in the fiber direction are far larger than other parts, so the shrinkage of the fiber is far greater than other parts, so there is almost no crack and deformation at both ends of the wood during natural drying. Generally, the crack length is within 10~30cm, and there is one plate crack or several pieces of broken board in serious cases. At the same time, the wood was pushed in the sun. After repeated erosion of wind and rain for a long time, many of the wood was rotten. This deformation, cracking, mildew and mildew seriously affected the quality of the wood, leading to a large number of waste. The drying is even, the product quality is improved, and the utilization rate of wood is increased by about 5%.

4. When the microwave power density is too high, the internal evaporation "pressure potential" of the wood exceeds the allowable limit value of the wood fiber, and the internal cracking of the wood will also occur. Therefore, microwave drying wood still needs a certain action time.
